This is a job for university graduated engineer in the domain of spacecraft and related ground segment operations. This position is based in Darmstadt, Germany. RESPONSIBILITIESDUTIES The employee will be involved in system verification validation and in operations preparation activities concerning the following areas groundsegmentlevel endtoend functional chains external interfaces control system level operational analysis operation data set definition operation processes, guides, tasks and procedures system operations validation plan and test cases definition validation tools development and data generation for mission planning in particular system baseline configuration control QUALIFICATIONSEXPERIENCE University degree or equivalent in the domain of engineering or physics or any other relevant discipline ESSENTIAL SKILLS The personnel responsible for performing this service shall have at least 5 years of experience of spacecraft and related ground segment operations, in particular Key expertise in one or more areas of the ground segment areas e.g. System, Mission Control systems Endtoend Mission Data Processing and Distribution Ground Segment External Interfaces management during operation preparation, LEOP, commissioning and routine operations phases Development and maintenance of complex operational ground systems, preferably for remote sensing spacecraft Ground Systems and Network monitoring and control Familiarity with the ECSS standards.
