KPN hits targets for 2018, maintains guidance for 2021 in line with strategic plan

(Telecompaper) KPN revenues in the fourth quarter fell 1.1 percent to EUR 1.436 billion on the back of declining revenue from traditional services and mobile, although there was growth in bundled consumer services and Professional Services for the business market. The adjusted EBITDA lifted 1 percent to EUR 572 million due to cost savings. The net profit result went 10 percent higher to EUR 62 million thanks to a one-off revaluation of the Dutch Tax Asset of EUR 107 million, due to a lower corporate income tax rate. Otherwise, KPN would have booked a net loss of EUR 45 million.

(Telecompaper) KPN is planning to close down all of its Telfort stores in the spring. Rumours had been circulating about the store closures since KPN announced it would put all of its focus on the main KPN brand. The company's Central Works Council approved the branding move.

KPN to phase out second brands, bring everything under main brand

(Telecompaper) KPN plans to eventually eliminate its subsidiary brands and focus on the KPN brand and bundled services for Dutch households and companies. No time frame has yet been announced. The changes will affect consumer brands Telfort and XS4ALL and business brands Telfort Zakelijk and Yes Telecom. Mobile unit Simyo was not mentioned. Nothing is expected to change for customers.
Dutch multiplay market grows revenues 3.6% in Q3, KPN takes 42%

(Telecompaper) Revenues in the Dutch multiplay market grew to EUR 1.173 billion in the third quarter, up 3.6 percent from a year earlier, according to Telecompaper's latest research. The number of households with broadband and at least one other service from the same provider increased 1.2 percent to 6.73 million at the end of September.
