Europes Meteorological Satellite Organisation is seeking a Project Planning and Control Competence Area Manager to organise and manage the provision of project control support across the organisation, in particular for satellite systems development, operational systems maintenanceevolution, and for operations. The key candidate shall have excellent leadership skills with the ability to interact with management and bring innovative ideas to the role. They must have knowledgeexperience in cost modelling and financial planning, ideally in the aerospace sector. This role offers scope for the selected candidate to develop their ideas into implemented service improvements whilst managing a team of 20 professionals whose activities span across the whole organisation. The successful candidate shall have skillsexperience in each of the following areas A minimum of 10 years experience in project planning and control, ideally in aerospace Direct experience in managing Project Planning and Control teams Experience of working in a matrixbased organisation Proven experience in the use of Enterprise Resource Programme ERP systems and stateoftheart Project Planning and Control tools direct experience in the utilisation of SAP would be considered advantageous The key candidate will have good interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with management whilst working in and across teams. Candidates require a university degree, or equivalent, in a relevant discipline, ideally Engineering or Economics.
