The man who Gwinnett Police say was wearing women's clothing and a wig when he allegedly attacked a real estate agent Wednesday morning faces several charges in the incident. Jeffrey Wayne Shumate, 38, of Lawrenceville, has been charged with aggravated assault, false imprisonment and battery in connection with the alleged attack around 9 a.m. Wednesday at 4240 Sugarloaf Parkway near Lawrenceville.

Woman arrested after allegedly stabbing man outside Harris Teeter

Norfolk police have arrested a woman accused of stabbing a man in the parking lot of the Harris Teeter in Ghent last week. Police say 34-year-old Breain Joyner stabbed a man outside the supermarket located in the 1300 block of Colonial Avenue, July 15 shortly before 1:30 a.m. The 40-year-old man was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
