This latest report from Telecompaper's continued research into developments in the Dutch communication services market looks at the leading Dutch mobile network operators: KPN (including Telfort), Vodafone, T-Mobile (including Orange) including the MVNO market. It analyses second quarter 2014 results, both revenue and subscriber base, and compares the findings with results in the previous quarters. The report provides splits at different levels, from postpaid to prepaid but also voice en non-voice each by individual operator. Additionally it also includes a five-year forecast (both revenue and subscriber) for the Dutch market.

For Airbus Defence and Space in Munich Ottobrunn within the area Germany Business Delivery we are looking for an EDRS Misson Operations Center MOC Operator fm. The European Data Relay System EDRS is a satellite based communication system, for the relay of Earth Observation data received from Low Earth Orbit LEO satellites via a geostationary satellite to the ground. It will be the first ever commercial communication system using laser technology. Airbus Defence and Space is set to become the systems operator and will provide data relay services to its customers. Operations will start in 2015. The EDRS Service and Operations team is being built up, to provide the data relay service from the primary Mission Operations Centre, located in Ottobrunn Germany. You will be a member of the Operations team in charge of performing the following activities during the operational hours of the Primary Mission Operations Centre PMOC Supervision of system performance and of automatic service provision to customers Maintenance of actual mission planning data and the mission schedule Supervision of planning processes and reporting to engineering in case of conflicts Supervision of key management processes Monitoring of the health status of all EDRS components Monitoring of service infrastructure and the distributed IP Network Monitoring the use of the satellite payload Level1 response to anomalies, based on procedures Data collection after anomalies Activation of engineering support if required User Help Desk first response during the operational hours of the PMOC Trouble ticket and incident management, including the generation, support and resolution of problems, for network and customer issues Routine Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul MRO for EDRS equipment Daily shift handover tofrom the BackUp Mission Operations Centre BMOC in Redu Belgium, in accordance with checklists You will be part of a team of several operators, sharing the above duties. In future stages of the project, shift work may become necessary. All communication relevant to the service will be given in English. We are looking for candidates with the following skills Educated to a degree level in Engineering, Aerospace, IT or equivalent Several years of experience in satellite and ground segment operations Knowledge of satellite communications, earth observation missions, as well as mission operation ground infrastructure e.g. ESOC, DLR, etc. and sophisticated IT environments Knowledge of problem solving in IT landscapes Extensive experience working with Microsoft Office products Excel, Word, Outlook, Project and operating systems such as WIN7UNIX or Server 2012 Knowledge of Microsoft Certified System Engineer would be a plus Knowledge of IT management systems SNMP, Syslog, Nagios would be a plus Strong focus on customer and service, service delivery and problem solving Willingness to do shift work early and late, no nights Ability to operate in a multinational team organisation Negotiation level of German and English Please apply on line for this vacancy on line at our careers site www.jobs.airbusgroup.com with your CV attached. Modest revenue growth for satellite operators in 2013

According to Euroconsult, the Fixed Satellite Service industry generated $12.2 billion in revenues in 2013, corresponding to 2% growth over revenues in 2012. 60% of revenue-generating FSS operators experienced a revenue growth slowdown in 2013.
