Samsung unveils A80 smartphone with rotating camera

(Telecompaper) Samsung has released three new smartphones in its A series for the mid-range market. As with other recent models in the series, the A80, A40 and A20e offer a taste of premium features, such as multiple cameras and large batteries, at a more affordable price than Samsung's top S series smartphones. The A40 is available now for a recommend price of EUR 249, the A20e will launch at the end of April for EUR 179, and the A80 is planned for early May at EUR 649.

Samsung profit more than halves to KRW 6.2 tln in Q1

(Telecompaper) Samsung said expects revenues for the first quarter to fall to KRW 52 trillion from 60.56 trillion the year before and 59.27 trillion in the fourth quarter. The operating profit meanwhile will more than halve to KRW 6.2 trillion from 15.64 trillion year-on-year and 10.80 quarter-on-quarter.
