We are currently looking for a Galileo Evolutions Engineer to work in the beautiful city of Prague. Galileo is Europes Global Navigation Satellite System GNSS, providing improved positioning and timing information with significant positive implications for many European services and users. The objective of this role is to support the Galileo evolutions, especially on operations and maintenance. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Contribute to the follow up of ESA activities related with Galileo evolution GTS and G2G. Preparation of GSAs contributions to ESA and EC documents. Review of documents by the EC, ESA, or Industry with generation and follow up of RIDs. Contribute to the preparation of GSA documents related with G2G, for example, but not limited to G2G Operations and operability requirements Document Justification File G2G operations and operability requirements document G2G Service conops G2G Cost Benefit Analysis Presentations and Technical Notes Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory Masters Degree in the relevant discipline At least 5 years of experience in complex system infrastructure and operations Fluency in English Organised, dynamic and proactive Security clearance EU Secret will be necessary but is not mandatory to start the activities The following skills would be highly desirable Understanding of GNSS principles. The core tasks will be Establish a baseline for the usage of different Network Protocols, by analyzing System log extractions Define any updates of the Ground and Flight operational procedures as required, so that they comply with the cyber security requirements Define and create procedures for log extraction and analysis Provide cyber security expertise from an operations perspective to support the development process of the existing ground segment Routine checks on the Network Security Status and configuration based on ISO 27001 Standard Establish and maintain a configuration baseline for the system Offline TrendAnalysis with Splunk on extracted logs Analysis on the System Hardening Status Provide support to the integration, testing and handover from equipment developers to the operational chain, in order to validate the closure of any identified vulnerabilities Assess the impact on operational products and processes from any new system configuration Prepare a weekly reports with the performed activities and security analysis reports. Academic requirements a University or similar degree in computer science, engineering or similar discipline. Skills Thorough and practical understanding of good systems engineering processes Proven work experience in IT Systems Security Practical experience of penetration testing, ethical hacking and networks forensics and analysis Good knowledge of Windows and Linux OS hardening Good interpersonal and communication skills Have a fluent knowledge of English. The specialist shall in particular have several years of experience relevant with the GNSS and GALILEO systems and equipment and have good knowledge of Radio Navigation processing, simulation and testing systems. Specialist in the implementation, maintenance and operation of complex Radio Navigation processing, simulation and test facilities for spacecraft, aircraft, maritime and land mobile applications.
