Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Provisioning of best practice advice and guidance in the areas of cyber defence and security operations supporting incident detection, analysis and response including operations policy and procedure development, operational scenario definition, operations centre technology selection and implementation, network and host based sensor technology selection and implementation. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory Bachelors or masters in computer science, engineering, IT or a related field. At least 3 years proven work experience as a network security engineer or information security engineer. Good command on dealing with security systems, intrusion detection systems, firewalls, antivirus software, log management, authentication systems, content filtering, etc. In depth knowledge of Information Security concepts involving incident detection, analysis, decision support and response Network Local Area Networking LAN, Metropolitan Area Networking MAN or Wide Area Networking WAN technologies Internet Protocols such as TCPIP, UDP, RIP, OSPF, BGP, SIP, SNMP, IPSec, SSL, TLS End system architectures and operating systems such as Windows, Linux Virtualization technologies such as KVM, VMWare, open nebula etc. Open vSwitch OvS, Strong interpersonal skills, team working, good analytic and problem solving capabilities. Strong communication and documentation abilities. Detailoriented attitude. Analytical mindset and problemsolving aptitude. Effective time management and organizational skills. For our customer in the Space industry located in the Munich area, we are building up a team of Cyber Security Engineers with wide technical knowledge on the IT infrastructure with focus on security. The position will include tasks such as Establish a baseline for the usage of different Network Protocols, by analysing System log extractions. Define any updates of the Ground and Space operational procedures as required. Define and create Procedures for log extraction and analysis. Provide Cyber Security expertise from an Operations perspective to support the development process for modifications to existing ground segment elements to deal with such findings. Routine Checks on the Network Security Status and configuration based on ISO 27001 Standard. Establish and maintain a configuration baseline for the System. Offline TrendAnalysis with Splunk on extracted Logs. Analysis on the System Hardening Status. Provide support to the integration, testing and handover from equipment developers to Operations, in order to validate the closure of any identified vulnerabilities. Assess the impact on operational products and processes from any new configuration. The jobholder will be located in GSMC and will support the preparation and maintenance of the security accreditation documentation related to GSMC sites, equipment and operations as well as corporate security engineering. Shehe will report to the Head of Security department or Team Leader located at the Agencys headquarters in Prague. TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Security Risk Assessment Engineer will be entrusted with the following tasks and responsibilities 1. Security accreditation file preparation Provide security support to the preparation of the security accreditation files for the GSMC systems, operations and sites Support the maintenance of the schedule of the GSMC accreditation activities Contribute to the security risks analyses and to the definition of the associated risks mitigation actions and security measures and follow up on their implementation for GSMC sites, equipment and operations Follow up on tasks related to the system development and operations for the GSMC in the preparation of the security accreditation files and security risk analysis Update the GSMC input to the Galileo security risk registers, including monitoring and reporting on the implementation of treatment plans Support Interactions with Member States Local Security Accreditation Authorities LSAA in the frame of the Security Accreditation Process and of the Critical Infrastructure Management Process Provide procurement support t in areas that have implications in the security accreditation processes of the Components e.g. site hosting, infrastructure and operations and assess the impact of changes to the security baseline Contribute to the establishment, analysis and continuous update of the Statement of Compliance to the applicable security requirements, its impact in the associated security accreditation file and followup to corresponding actions Participate in onsite security auditsvisits of the ground stations of the different Components when necessary. 2. However, the jobholder may be requested to go on frequent missions including long term missions to other EUSPA sites Spain and Czech Republic to perform similar tasks to those in France.
