Magine to launch online video streaming in China

(Telecompaper) Swedish OTT services provider Magine has signed an agreement with a Beijing-based digital TV system integrator and operator to build, launch and operate an internet-based video streaming system for the Chinese market. Magine has also announced it has established the Magine Asia Unit, based in Hong Kong.

Fullscreen to launch subscription video service in April

(Telecompaper) The YouTube creative network Fullscreen is launching its own subscription video service for USD 4.99 per month. The ad-free video service will offer a blend of original and licensed content from 26 April. To start, it will have more than 800 hours of content, including feature-length movies and series and original content from online stars. Fullscreen's shareholder AT&T will market the SVOD service to its over 100 million customers and co-produce content with Fullscreen that will be distributed on DirecTV, U-verse and the Fullscreen service. Fullscreen is owned by Otter Media, a joint venture between AT&T and Chernin Group.
