You will work on Spectrum Management and Satellite Coordination for the Space Systems business line previously Astrium of Airbus Defence and Space. You will report directly to the head of Space Systems Regulatory Affairs in the Marketing and Sales direction. In this context you will be involved in the following activities 1. MONITORING of SPACE SYSTEMS INTERESTS in the frame of the ITUWRC preparation and other regulatory fora and bodies at national, regional and international levels. You will in particular Participate to ITUR and CEPT conferences and study groups to monitor and represent Space Systems interests, including redaction, presentation and defence of contributions Develop lobbying strategies to promotedefend Space Systems interest throughout ITUWRC preparation and other national and international regulatory bodies Coordinate Space Systems regulatory strategy and positions with the other business lines and countries of Airbus Defence and Space and with the other Divisions of the Airbus group Airbus and Airbus Helicopters Represent Space Systems in the regulatory arena at national, regional and international level 2. PROVISION of REGULATORY EXPERTISE and SUPPORT to Space Systems divisions and activities. You will in particular Provide regulatory support to the design, system engineering, new systems and business development, marketing, etc. activities of Space Systems and ensure compliance with national and international regulations Advise and implement regulatory approaches and opportunities that may support the positioning of Space Systems satellite businesses and products in Telecom, Earth observation, Space transportation, Navigation Contribute to the regulatory work packages of inhouse and external studies national space agencies, ESA, EU, etc. Maintain Space Systems regulatory awareness, expertise and recognition in the regulatory arena 3. SUPPORT to SALES capture, business development and bids for telecom satellites. You will in particular Analyse Customers ITU filings and their environment in the frame of telecom satellites, Bids and Tenders Handle ITU filing processes in the planned and unplanned bands to support satellite filings submission and coordination Run interference and sharingcompatibility analysis with neighbouring satellite systems and participate in the negotiation of coordination agreements with neighbouring satellite operators in line with the companys and its Customers interests. 4. You may take responsibility of the activities 1 and 2 above in the short to medium term. The international environment of this activity requires frequent travels to France and abroad for short durations 1 to 10 days duration, 30 to 90 days a year. Senior Manager, Satellite Programs

Primary purpose of role Based in Los Angeles, the Satellite Program Manager will work closely with the spacecraft manufacturer and Inmarsat headquarters. Reporting to Massimiliano Ladovaz, Vice President, Space Infrastructure Development, the individual responsible for this role will ensure compliance of all specifications of the satellite contract and manage the schedule in line with ISAT Integrated Satellite Applications Technologies objectives. The individual will also support new space infrastructure procurement, defining the spacecraft bus technical specifications and supporting the coordination of the mission derived payload specifications, supporting negotiation of new satellite and launch vehicle procurement contracts as required. Key responsibilities Manage Inmarsat spacecraft programs while resident at the spacecraft manufacturer Ensure the Satellite Contractor is compliant to all specification requirements of the contract Manage the program budget and schedule in line with Inmarsat commercial objectives Identify and resolve issues that develop during the spacecraft design, assembly, integration and test phase Support new space infrastructure procurement tasks Perform other related tasks as requested Essential knowledge and skills Advanced Engineering degree or equivalent Significant experience in satellite design manufacturing and test, system engineering and program management Extensive knowledge and understanding of satellite design, assembly integration and test, cost and schedule trades and program management Strong demonstration of technical and program leadership Excellent writing and reporting skills with strong communication skills Ability to coach other team members of the Satellite Engineering team Fundamental personal qualities Enterprise Spirit The individual will make valuable contributions to process improvements and technical innovation. They are looking to add a Mission Manager to their team to manage all aspects of their upcoming program including definition, design, procurement, integration, acceptance and delivery to the operations team. Key responsibilities The Mission Manager will be responsible for the ongoing procurement of the mission at mission level, system level and space segment level, taking into account performance, cost and schedule requirements.
