The IOT Operations Engineering team provides monitoring and operations support to a wide variety of projects and missions Currently supporting Proba 1, 2 and V, Galileo and in the near future the operations of the EDRS Mission Operations Centre EDRS MOC and Backup Feeder Link BFLGS. The GALILEO IOT campaigns occur once or twice a year and as a member of the Team you will be also part of the work to be performed 247. In this position you will Assess the IOT measurements results based on your GNSS experience Operate the GALILEO IOT System for the daytoday activities reporting included Participate to the planned upgrades of the IOT Measurement System from requirement definition to integration and validation Provide analysis and support for Anomaly identification Have a Test Conductor role during the BoL IOT campaigns Provide assistance in the planning activities when needed Undertake and potentially provide training in activities related to your expertise Provide support to Redu Space Services in projects and activities related to your domain of activities Act on behalf of the Project Manager when not available Provide adhoc support as requested by the company management Ideal candidates should meet the following criteria Have a Master of Science in Engineering Electronics, RF and Telecom oriented 5 years of experience in the above mentioned responsibilities Deep knowledge in GNSS signals applications Familiar with Satellite Ground Systems HPA, Tracking Systems, LNA... AnalogDigital Modulation Transmission Line VSWR, TOS, Smith Chart... knowledge is mandatory Project Management notions with usual milestones and PA standards Notions about Link Budgets, GT, EIRP, Group Delay, Phase Noise are preferable Programming capabilities and communication protocols knowledge are nicetohave Tools Microsoft Office ExcelWordProject Basics in TCPIP and Linux are preferable Orbit Determination tool knowledge STK, Orbitron Fluent in French and good level in English Team Worker Autonomous Customer facing Eager to teach others Familiarity with operational environment. Vodafone starts testing LTE-V2X for car communications

(Telecompaper) Vodafone announced that it has started trialling vehicle-to-vehicle communications using the 4G extension LTE-V2X in the UK and is planning further trials in Germany. LTE-V2X enables cars to chat with each other to improve road safety and efficiency. LTE-V2X means connecting vehicles (V) to everything (X). Vodafone is working with industry partners to develop LTE-V2X through the standards organisation 3GPP. Vodafone and Huawei will be discussing the plans at the Paris Motor Show.
