Guardian: Australia has had its hottest spring and second hottest November on record. Bureau of Meteorology climate monitoring manager Karl Braganza says 2014 has had the latest in a long line of hot springs in the past decade. According to the BOM, 2013 was the countrys hottest year. Australian stocks slid further downhill Monday morning as strength in airlines and a few of the financials proved unable to offset further heavy losses for the energy and gold shares, with the S&P/ASX 200 down 0.6% in early moves.
