For our customer, the European Space Agency ESA, we are seeking an experienced EEE Component Engineer to work at ESAs ESTEC site in Noordwijk, The Netherlands. Provide related technical support on EEE components to ESA projects and other TEC Directorate divisions in the area EEE components and failure investigation. Provide technical input to the formulation, review and maintenance of the technical standards and specifications relating to test methods for component qualification and analysis. Support ISO certification activities. This is a fulltime position located at ESTEC, Noordwijk, The Netherlands. The requested start of work is September 2021 or as soon as possible thereafter. Qualifications Competencies The successful candidate shall have A Masters degree or PhD in ElectricalElectronic Engineering or solid state Physics or related specialization. At least 10 years of relevant professional work experience, ideally acquired in the space industry. Demonstrated background and experience in EEE component technologies in terms of constituent materials, production technology, test equipment, test tools, test methods and standards industrial and standardisation bodies, laboratory techniques, laboratory equipment, laboratory work and procedures including common health and safety regulations. Proficiency in EEE component electrical measurement techniques is required. Knowledge of general component laboratory practices is mandatory. Desirable Specific expertise in at least 4 of the following fields is required, the remainder are desirable Passive Components Discrete Semiconductors for RF and nonRF Complex Microcircuits for Digital, Analog, Mixed Signal and Microwave Hybrid Technology Micropackaging Optoelectronics Soft skills A good command of the English language is necessary.
