Job Description As part of the System Engineering and Projects Division within the Technical Scientific Support Department the key person will have the following responsibilities Support the activities of ground segment developments in the areas of Ground Stations, RF and Telecommunications Engineering activities of Phase B of future ground segments in the areas of Ground Stations, RF and Telecommunications mainly for supporting EPSSG and JasonCS activities Follow up of the detailed design and development activities of Phase CD of the future ground segments in the areas of Ground Stations, RF and Telecommunications Maintenance and evolution in phase E to the other programmes within EUMETSAT MSG, EPS, Jason etc in the areas of Telecommunications, RF and Ground Stations. Requirements The key person shall have A university degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline relevant to the job profile A demonstrated experience in a similar function At least 5 years, this experience shall include in particular Ground stations system and subsystem design and development for TTC, for mission specific andor satellite communications ground stations TTC baseband equipment and SLE compliant implementations Technical background in the specification and VV of ground stations and large antennas and tracking systems for LEO and GEO satellites ACU and receivers inclusive Knowledge of modulationdemodulation schemes applied by Ground to Space ICD for TTC and payload data transmission e.g. ECSS and CCSDS Standards.
