YOUR TASKS This role is for the Solar wind Magnetosphere Ionosphere Link Explorer SMILE Station Laboratory Engineering and Operational Support services, including MOIIT and OCC infrastructure. The provision of the services, include Support the onsite Maintenance and Operations activities including but not limited to repair, spare, incident analysis, configuration, performance monitoring. Maintenance of the configuration Support the preventive and corrective maintenance activities Support the upgrade processes from the review of requirements to the validation and handover to operations This service will be primarily provided for the assigned SMILE infrastructure although support to others stations maybe required in line with evolution of ESTRACK service needs. The provision of operational support services includes Reviewing the SMILE infrastructure users needs Preparation of SMILE for operational support Support the users operations YOUR PROFILE Essential requirements are SMILE lab and antenna knowledge ESOC1 and ESOC1A. Telecommunication Engineering domain, i.e. RF expertise including practical experience as RF engineer in groundstation Broad understanding of IT System Configuration control expertise i.e. knowledge and experience in configuration management Desirable requirements are Familiarity with the ESOC environment processes, configuration control Familiarity with ground station control processes and setup Some experience dealing with internal external interfaces like OPSGS and industrial suppliers Familiarity with station maintenance and operations Special requirements for this role include Europeaninternational travel Radio amateur licence Knowledge of Phyton, VMWare, Cortex Modem, Software Defined Radio and GNU Radio WE OFFER With SCISYS you get the chance to take responsibility for your own and varied professional activities, while there is always room for producing new ideas and contributing your personality.
