Ground Station Engineerings Support Key Tasks and Responsibilities Our customer is a European organisation providing weather and climaterelated satellite data, images and products for its users. In this role you will have the following responsibilities Investigation and rectification of anomalies reported by the operationsmaintenance team Interface with the maintenance services providers at a technical level Reporting on the performance of the Ground Stations and associated systems Attendance at the relevant coordination meetings Provision of Ground Stations support to operations during critical mission phases Maintenance of operational Ground Stations procedures, databases and documentation in accordance with the configuration management and QA Provision of technical support during the creation of maintenance agreements and contracts Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree in engineering or other relevant discipline Several years experience in a similar role Ground Station design, integration and testing, particularly in the areas of Antenna, RF, Base Band and Tracking subsystems Operation and configuration of various types of Baseband equipment including integrated TTC and ranging systems i.e. Cortex type and High Data Rate Modulators and Demodulators Maintenance and Operation of large Ground Stations particularly in Local and Remote MC including databases and automated procedures Analogue and digital modulationdemodulation schemes used on the Ground to Space interface for TTC, Mission data transmission and Data Collection Systems. Execution of Spacecraft interface verification testing Fluency in English is mandatory This job is located in Darmstadt.We are looking for candidates who are available from January 2014 or as soon as possible thereafter.
