Exxon Mobil said it shouldn't have to release any further information on a proposed but abandoned pipeline intended to run alongside the Pegasus pipeline that ruptured in 2013 in central Arkansas. The company is facing a class-action lawsuit by landowners after the pipeline spilled more than 200,000 gallons of oil in a Mayflower subdivision.

For the location in Garching Germany we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer Support to the Pipeline Systems Group Tasks The Pipeline Systems Group in the Directorate of Engineering DoE is developing the VLT and VLTI data reduction pipelines for the operational instruments at the La Silla and Parana! Observatories. The data reduction pipelines are used in two operational environments, by the ESO Data Flow Operations in Garching, and by the Parana! Science Operations PSO, for the quicklook assessment of data, the healthmonitoring of instruments and detectors, the generation of master calibration data, the reduction of scientific exposures, and data quality control. The work involves the preparation of data reduction procedures in the framework of the new HighLevel Data Reduction Library HDRL. The procedures and algorithms have to be implemented in ANSIC and with the ESOCPL library for information, see www.eso.or cpl and www.eso.Qrgi!Jipelines. Essential requirements The ideal Candidate is a software engineer with experience in developing scientific data processing applications in ANSIC. Following skills are required Expertise of processing and statistical handling of scientific data, including statistical error propagation Experience in development software in a UnixLinux environment Ability to participate in any of the maintenance and development efforts in support of ESOs team, contributing to the entire software lifecycle, from analysis to design, coding, documentation and testing, to deployment and maintenance Experience with software development tools version control, development environments, debuggers, profilers Desirable requirements Good knowledge of Python and scripting languages Knowledge of astronomical instrumentation and observational techniques in astrophysics imaging, adaptive optics, and spectroscopy and related data reduction methods Experience in code validation and unitregression testing. Atlantic Coast Pipeline opponents propose study in western Virginia

Opponents of the proposed 550-mile Atlantic Coast Pipeline want Nelson County to study the impact of the line's 35-mile route through the Virginia county, offering to provide information and expertise to help perform it. The proposed pipeline would run from West Virginia to coastal Virginia and the through southeastern North Carolina.
