Your day to day activities As Accreditation Support Engineer you will be working on the Galileo operation network, the service desk of our clients site and the other operational tools of the site, including CSIRT, OIS and KVM. You will update network security risk analyses and operating procedures as part of the security accreditation process. Things you need to be successfull You are motivated by the opportunity to work within the Space domain. You have advanced analytic skills and good interpersonal skills. You have perfect communication skills in English preferably in French, speaking and writing. You also have A relevant Bachelor or Master degree Knowledge of secure environments and SecOps Competence in information systems risk assessment Information security experience EU passport. A EU Personal Security Clearance at the level of CONFIDENTIAL and above is part of the selection procedure. About GSA The European GNSS Agency GSA is responsible for the operations and service provision for the European Global Navigation Satellite Systems GNSS EGNOS and Galileo. By developing a new generation of GNSS, Europe is laying the foundation for new hightechnology industry development, leading to job creation and economic growth. Within this context, the Security Accreditation Department provides independent, balanced, timely and comprehensive security risks analysis to support the decisions of the Security Accreditation Board SAB. The SAB is an autonomous body, established pursuant to the GSA Regulation which shall take all security accreditation decisions related to the European Global Navigation Satellite Systems GNSS. Tasks and responsibilities The tasks and responsibilities shall in principle include without limitation Security assurance, including security documentation review and security risk assessment Assurance on communications security COMSEC compliance, such as review of technical implementations relating to security functions and of operational procedures relating to COMSEC, and obtaining assurance that COMSEC procedures are implemented correctly Contribute to other tasks of the Department, as necessary Supporting function to the Security Accreditation Board and its subordinate bodies Minimum Qualifications A level of education which corresponds to completed university studies1 attested by a diploma when the normal period of university education is four years or more OR A level of education which corresponds to completed university studies attested by a diploma and at least one year of appropriate professional experience when the normal period of university education is three years In addition to the above, appropriate professional experience2 of at least six years Be a national of a Member State of the European Union Be entitled to his or her full rights as citizen Have fulfilled any obligations imposed by the applicable laws concerning military service Meet the character requirements for the duties involved3 Have a thorough knowledge of one of the languages of the European Union4 and a satisfactory knowledge of another language of the European Union to the extent necessary for the performance of hisher duties Be physically fit to perform the duties linked to the post5 Application procedure In order to consider your application valid, you are required to fill in and submit the GSA application form, which can be found on our website httpswww.gsa.europa.eugsajobsopportunities A full job description and further information on the application procedure can be found here httpswww.gsa.europa.eusitesdefaultfilesjobsgsa2018528securityaccreditationofficer.pdf 1 Only study titles that have been awarded in EU Member States or that are subject to the equivalence certificates issued by the authorities in the said Member States shall be taken into consideration. 2 Only appropriate professional experience acquired after achieving the minimum qualification stated in A.1 shall be considered. Where additional periods of training and study are accompanied by periods of professional activity, only the latter shall be considered as professional experience. Compulsory military service or equivalent civilian service accomplished after achieving the minimum qualification stated in A.1. shall be taken into consideration. Internships will be taken into consideration if they are paid. Professional activities pursued parttime shall be calculated pro rata, on the basis of the percentage of fulltime hours worked. A given period may be counted only once. 3 Prior to the appointment, the successful candidate will be asked to provide a Police certificate confirming the absence of any criminal record. 4 The languages of the EU are Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Finnish, French, Irish, German, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Maltese, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Slovak, Slovene, Spanish, Swedish. 5 Before a successful candidate can be appointed, she will be medically examined by a selected medical service so that the Agency will be satisfied that she fulfils the requirement of Article 28e of the Staff Regulation of Officials of the European Union.
