Deutsche Telekom signs agreement to use Deutsche Glasfaser FTTH network

(Telecompaper) Deutsche Telekom said that it signed an agreement with Deutsche Glasfaser to use its network in the city of Ludinghausen, in North Rhine-Westphalia. The company will provide its entire portfolio of products to customers, including households located in the area covered by Deutsche Glasfaser without an FTTH line yet. Deutsche Glasfaser will upgrade those connections.

Deutsche Telekom explores merger with Orange - report

(Telecompaper) Deutsche Telekom is exploring the possibility of a merger with Orange, Handelsblatt reports citing sources familiar with the matter. The plan is at an early stage, the report said, adding that it points to a long-term dimension of Telekom's strategy.

(Telecompaper) The Telecompaper European Telecoms Services index was down 0.3 percent in week 45, versus a gain of 2.1 percent for the EuroStoxx 50 index. The week was heavy with earnings reports, with some M&A news. Tele Columbus was the best stock to own last week, up 15 percent. At a closing price of EUR 2.45 it has come off considerably from its low of EUR 1.29 in early June. BT's loss of 8.0 percent put it among the week's worst losers. The company stands to lose Virgin Mobile as an MVNO customer from 2021.
