Job description For one of our customers located in Darmstadt we are looking for a System Administrator with experience in IT Security. This is a technical handson role that is primarily responsible for planning, implementing and reconciling security related incidents and patches on all servers and workstations. Responsibilities Typical activities to be undertaken are Responsible for daytoday administration, coordination and operations of IT infrastructure systems with regards to data center patch management process. Liaise with biweekly security scans results and provide way forward to all detected security incidents and potential attack vectors. Coordinate patch management activities for IT data center environments, including patch management for server environments, server infrastructure and related patching requirements. Stay informed regarding advances in patch management technologies. Assist in implementation of new technologies and processes. Manage, participate and complete tasks ontime with infrastructure projects. Note that the above list is nonexhaustive, but it serves to show the main range of tasks that will constitute the service to be provided. Further tasks will be assigned as needs arise. This is a fulltime position with starting date ASAP. You will be based in Darmstadt, Germany Qualifications Competencies Applicants shall have a university degree, in the domain of IT, engineering, or other suitable qualification and at least 3 years experience within a similar IT support security role. Additionally you should have Good knowledge within the area of security risk management including support to security OSapplications and audits. Experience in inspection of Logfiles, definition development of intelligent LOGFiles analysis mechanism Experience with specific access control policies and different available solutions Experience with Intrusion Detection System IDSIPSDPI. Experience with Handling SW vulnerabilities for operational systems Skilled in using the Microsoft Office applications Word, Excel and Outlook. Excellent oral and written communication in English and teamworking ability. You shall be able to fulfil the assigned tasks with a minimum of supervision, have a systematic approach to work, be able to plan your work and cope with tight schedules and multiple tasks. You shall have the capability to write accurate and consistent technical documentation. Good communication skills verbal and written are important. You shall be willing to work in a team of engineers and in cooperation with industry and partner agencies. Administer ondemand and afterhours technical support during scheduled outages and unscheduled emergency situations. Support daily operations and monitoring of multiple systems, user accounts, file permissions and other systems according to standard operating procedures for storage and backup architectures. Participate in required compliance activities as needed, including data log collection, statistical analysis and proper reporting standards. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory You have 2year diploma from a recognized college in systems administration or relevant field. You have at least 5 years experience in system administration. You have excellent written and oral communication skills. You are able to work independently and collaborate with peers as needed.
