Vietnam got stronger results than Bangadesh on US apparel import market in last three years, mostly due to a shift to man-made fiber clothing production. In the meantime, Bangladesh remained stuck with cotton apparel production, but benefited from its relatively lower production costs, and more demand for higher-valued manufacturing.
