Source: American Association of Swine Veterinarians In recognition of the increased risk of spreading disease including porcine epidemic diarrhea (PED) virus from commingling animals at an exhibition, show or sale, the National Pork Board has published two documents addressing exhibitors of swine and the organizers of swine exhibitions. Source: National Pork Producers Council The National Pork Producers Council (NPPC) announces the availability of scholarships to assist young adults in agriculture. The Lois Britt Memorial Scholarship Program is sponsored by CME Group. The scholarship program consists of four, $2,500 scholarships for students who intend to pursue a career in the pork industry. The scholarships are focused at undergraduate students in a two-year swine program or a four-year college of agriculture. read more
