The position is based at the European Space Power Laboratory ESPL, this laboratory currently covers 4 facilities Accelerated Life Test Facility High Voltage Facility Battery and Life Test Facility Power Conversion Facility Solar Generator Characterization Facility The successful applicant will be one of a team of 5 personnel working alongside a team of scientific staff performing investigations and experiments. Responsibilities include Setting up and undertaking controlled experiments Preparation and instrumentation of test samples. The operation of specialised facilities and installations. Maintaining equipment and facilities Following and ensuring strict safety procedures Ideal candidate Experience Broad and in depth experience and knowledge of laboratory testing environments. Preference will be given to Applicants with knowledge and experience in the inspection and testing of photovoltaic components solar cells and solar cell assemblies. Key skills Independence Meticulous attention to detail Excellent written oral skills Good team working skills Troubleshooting analytical skills Preferred Must be experienced and hold a good relevant qualification in an electro mechanicalelectronics based discipline.
