Relocation assistance provided if applicable. Main responsibilities For our activities in ESTEC, we are currently looking for an Laboratory Test Engineer. The position is offered as a parttime position with 20 hours per week. The position is based at the European Space Power Laboratory ESPL, this laboratory currently covers 4 facilities Accelerated Life Test Facility High Voltage Facility Battery and Life Test Facility Power Conversion Facility Solar Generator Characterization Facility The successful applicant will be one of a team of 5 personnel working alongside a team of scientific staff performing investigations and experiments. The successful candidate will concentrate on the following tasks Design, bread boarding and build of electronic circuitry. Setting up and undertaking controlled experiments Recording and presenting data for analysis. Preparation and instrumentation of test samples. Maintaining equipment Writing reports and summaries Following and ensuring strict safety procedures Ideal candidate The ideal candidate should have broad and in depth experience and knowledge of laboratory testing environments. Key skills Independence Meticulous attention to detail Excellent written oral skills Good team working skills Troubleshooting analytical skills Preferred Degree level education in a scientific electronics related discipline.
