System Design and Development Space Segment Engineers mfd EU Space Program

LSE Space GmbH is looking for Space Segment Engineers mfd to support our services for the existing and future EU Space Program missions in the area of system design and development. Your core tasks will be Review of the technical documentation for the space segment level activities and ensure consistency with system level documentation Interface with industrial andor institutional players and service operators for aspects related to operability improvements to be injected in future industrial contract amendments Participate in the space segment evolutions development reviews and change control board Review of the technical documentation generated by technical assistance Support the qualificationacceptance reviews of the Space Segment Analyse change requests relevant to space segment and support change control boards Contribute to the analysis of anomalies raised by the service operators and participate in the relevant anomaly review boards for aspects related to space segment Support the preparation of requirements, launch, and management of the procurements for the space segment Support the assessment of the performance of the space segment industrial contractors, through the review of the relevant KPIs and deliverables, and propose actions and improvements to address issues and opportunities Prepare and support the development and deployment of space infrastructure related to additional EU space program components Support to launch Skills Experience in satellite missions, in particular EU Space programs Experience in space segment engineering, maintenance andor operations Able to work in an interdisciplinary team Selfstarter, able to work independently with no supervision Management skills Willingness to travel several days per month Fluent in English, both in speech and writing Other language skills would be a plus Academic requirements a University or similar degree in engineering or similar discipline. We are looking for Electronics Design and Test Engineers mfd to work at OHB System AG in Oberpfaffenhofen, Germany. Your Tasks In this position, you will be part of the OHB electronic equipment design and test team for satellite electronic units. You will work in an international project environment and will be located at the Weling Oberpfaffenhofen site within the OHB Group. The focus of this position is digital FPGA as well as analogue, hf and power electronic. This will cover the design, built up and test of breadboards, followed by EM units, who needs to be qualified environmental and performance tests and then FM support placement, test, delivery. For the right person, the career path opportunities are to become a Functional Team Lead within 18 months 2 years. You will be joining the Mechanical Design Office at Airbus Defence Space in Stevenage. You will carry out Lead Designer activities for Spacecraft Structure design tasks. You will oversee day to day activities for a small team of Design Engineers ensuring all customer requirements are supported. The successful candidate will need to gain UK Security Clearance in order to undertake related work in accordance with business needs. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include Responsibility for the control, correctness, accuracy and relevance of all drawings, models, Digital Mock Up DMU, bills of materials and Engineering Change Notes as related to the configured items for allocated projects to cost and schedule. Ensuring all outputs from the Mechanical Design Office MDO are correct to the project requirements as stated by the core team generally the Responsible Engineer All the project Design Office outputs must be checked, signed and stamped by the lead design engineer to the checklists and CATIA procedures. Authorising design signatory for manufacturing drawings, BoMs and ECOs related to the allocated project. Responsibility for the estimation and planning of DO related activities and manpower requirements to meet those tasks. Allocation of manpower is sought through the Team Leader. Supervising and mentoring of other DO design engineers working on the project. Providing support to other general DO activities, e.g. Process improvements, bids etc.We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience Degree or equivalent in an Engineering discipline with working background the Aerospace industry. Excellent working knowledge and experience of CATIA V5. Strong Engineering technical background including working knowledge of GDT Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing and DFM Design for Manufacturing. Practical understanding of Design solution. Experience of VPM3DCOM Windchill BOM Management. Desirable skills experience are of interest, but NOT essential as training support will be provided. Experience managing a small team. Experience managing work packages, dealing with budgets and headcount requirements. Experience of CATIA V6.
