Dimension Data founder and executive chairman Jeremy Ord and CEO Grant Bodley said they see a huge demand for data centre capability in Africa. Ord said the actual launch of the new data centres that DiData is building in Johannesburg is imminent.
Amsterdam to allow new data centres, under strict conditions

The move would open the way for Amsterdam to meet the growing need for data centres, to facilitate matters such as working from home and video calling. BCE sells data centres to Equinix for CAD 1 billion

(Telecompaper) Canadian operator BCE has agreed to sell 25 data centres to Equinix for CAD 1.04 billion (USD 750 million) in cash. The sale is part of Bell's strategy to focus on its core telecom network infrastructure, and BCE said it will keep five data centres used as central offices.
