Unexpected demand for the Bin 707 Foodbar menu has forced the restaurant to change its hours of operation in order to make sure the food and the people who work at the popular Grand Junction restaurant stay fresh. In a scale-back that started Saturday, Bin 707 is no longer open for lunch on Saturday and Sunday, instead opening at 4 p.m. on those days.

When representatives of Wall Street financier George Soros told dealers in January at the National Automobile Dealers Association convention that the billionaire's family fund wanted to buy dealerships, it prompted a flurry of speculation that private-equity money and wealthy families' funds would open their fat wallets and inflate buy-sell prices. "What we're seeing is a cooling off of the M&A market in terms of private equity and family funds," says Mark Johnson, president of buy-sell advisory firm MD Johnson Inc. in Seattle.

Biz Buzz: Raley's announces summer donation drive

Raley's will soon begin a summer donation drive to benefit the local food bank, the grocery store's parent company announced. People who donate $1 to Food For Families from June 15 through July 31 will have their donation matched by Raley's, up to $25,000.
