GEO MTG Ground Segment QA Consultant

A fantastic new opportunity has arisen for a Geostationary Satellite Programmes GEO Meteosat Third Generation MTG Ground Segment QA Consultancy Support Engineer to join the MTG QA Team, supporting the GEO Division. Thorn SDS is an AUG registered business with a local bilingual English German support team in Darmstadt. We specialise in the supply of staff and services into the space and security sectors and are particularly interested in speaking to existing contractors at EUMETSAT that may be searching for a cost effective employment partner. All applicants require a minimum of 5 years experience in the Quality Assurance area, experience on QA on satellite Ground Segments and on data processing field would be considered to be an advantage. Candidates shall require the following Significant handson experience in QA processes definition, implementation, monitoring and control Knowledge and application experience on international QAPA standards, specific knowledge of aerospacespace standards would be considered a plus Direct experience in providing QA support to procurement contracts for complex products to SW products throughout their complete development lifecycle, specifically on data processing and science products development Experience on HWSW products integration Significant handson experience in using Microsoft Office Suite and in particular with Microsoft Word, Excel and Access Capability of understanding complex concepts in the area of data processing and data analysis and its implementation through specific software architecture. The following attributes would be considered to be advantageous Knowledge of PAQA relevant standards e.g ECSS, MILSTD, NASA and CMMI Experienceknowledge in QA aspects related to parallel computing implementation and Experience of working on collaborative programmes between different partners Knowledge of requirement management tools, e.g DOORS along with experience in the application of risk management and lessons learned processes Knowledge of MATLAB in terms of coding best practices and knowledge of software Agile methodology Experienceknowledge on satellite ground segment data processing, preferably on science products The primary language for this position is English, however, French or German would be considered to be advantageous.

PAQA Engineer Geostationary Satellite Program GEO Division

RHEA is currently recruiting a MTG Ground Segment QA to support the GEO Division at our clients premises in Darmstadt, Germany. Tasks and Activities Your primary tasks and activities may include Implementing QA policies in the assigned areas and ensure that Quality Assurance policies and methods are taken into account during all lifecycle phases. Supporting in the establishment and recording of metrics to measure the effectiveness of the main processes Ensuring that the MTG QA and MTG GS processes and connected working practices and procedures are available, adequate, maintained updated and correctly implemented in the MTG documentation and relevant activities, with particular reference to the documentation relevant to the Ground Segment Facilities. Providing dedicated support for QA disciplines to the production and release of the technical and programmatic documentation. Critically reviewing and providing comments on the technical and management documentation issued in support to the MTG GS Facilities procurement. Supporting, and acting as Review secretary to the formal project Reviews and Check Points. Additionally you will ensure that the relevant applicable Procedures and methods are correctly implemented. Supporting the MTG GS Facilities procurement activities and the connected processes, in line with the applicable QA documentation and requirements. Following selection of the GS Facilities successful bidders, you will support QA activities for the Facilities development and production process interfacing with the Technical Officers, the relevant crossdivisional Teams and with the Industry PAQA counterparts in order to fulfil the targets identified through the assigned work packages Ensuring implementation of the agreed QA Plans and procedures within the Industry activities, including Subtiers. Supporting the preparation and conduct of QA audits, in line with the MTG GS ContractorsSuppliers Quality Assurance Audit Plan. Providing advice on any critical issue arising within ongoing GEO programmes activities. Providing regular reporting to the MTG GS QA Engineer and to the GEO QA Team Leader on all aspects related to MTG GS QA activities. Attending and supporting the weekly MTG QA Team coordination meetings. Skills and Experience You must possess the following skills and experience At least 5 years of specific work experience in the Quality Assurance processes definition, implementation, monitoring and control etc Knowledge and application experience on international QAPA standards.
