Summary A Data Scientist is required to join Telespazio UKs Artificial Intelligence AI team developing machine and deep learning activities within the Geo Information GI group using satellite data. The University of Potsdam, Faculty of Science, Institute of Geosciences, together with the Institute for Environmental Science and Geography, hereby announces a joint professorship under the Julich Model with the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences to be filled as soon as possible Full Professorship W 3 for Remote Sensing in Geo Environmental Sciences and GFZ Section Head position The successful candidate shall have an outstanding internationally recognized scientific record in the field of Remote Sensing of Earth Surface Processes and Properties. HeShe will drive the development of remote sensing sensor technologies and analysis methods in close connection with geoscience and environmental research matter fluxes, water and carbon cycles, natural hazards, land degradation, mineral resources. Applicants should avail of leadership skills in optical remote sensing with a focus on imaging spectroscopy.
