Riders on Metro-North trains can expect to see heightened security measures along the rail lines in the wake of the deadly terror attacks in Paris on Friday, according to a statement from the Metropolitan Transportation Authority. The MTA Police Department has stepped up its uniformed and plainclothes presence in Grand Central Terminal and Penn Station as well as other major stations throughout the Metro-North Railroad and Long Island Rail Road network.

Bronx subway stations wired for cell service and Wi-Fi: MTA

Metropolitan Transportation Authority officials on Thursday announced that the Bronx has its first batch of 21 subway stations wired for cell service and Wi-Fi. Manhattan riders, meanwhile, now have Wi-Fi in an extra 16 stations as part of the latest rollout of connected stations.
