A Washington state woman who said she shot dead her husband and infant son and then wounded herself is likely to be charged with first-degree murder, police said on Monday. A real estate agent in Bellingham, about 90 miles north of Seattle, heard a woman screaming for help on Sunday and called police, Whatcom County Undersheriff Jeffrey Parks said.

The man charged in connection with the fatal shooting of a realtor during an apparent home invasion in Surrey has been identified as a 22-year man with an extensive criminal record. Colin Hill, 42, died while fending off an intruder at his Surrey home, the region's homicide unit has said.
