Telenor and Cisco expand cooperation, agree finance from Digital Alpha for Working Group Two

(Telecompaper) Telenor Group and Cisco have announced a joint purpose agreement (JPA) concerning activities such as security, 5G, Open vRAN, B2B expansion, distributed cloud, and extending Telenor's digital transformation to support flexible working. The JPA also covers more financing for their Working Group Two (WG2) joint venture to enable growth, global operations and new uses for 5G, IoT and private networks. WG2 has been added to the Cisco General Price List and will be part of DevNet.

Telenor establishes Nordic Hub led by Denmark CEO, Leinonen stays Head of Nordics

(Telecompaper) Telenor said it has established a Nordic Hub to develop areas such as 5G, IoT, and the business and SME segment throughout the company's Nordic markets. The operator recently merged its Asian clusters to form the Asia Unit and created Asia Hub on 01 May. Telenor Denmark CEO Jesper Hansen will become the Nordic Hub's chief operating officer (CCO) from 01 August but EVP Jukka Leinonen will remain Head of Nordics and CEO of DNA in Finland.
Nordija delivers TV and media platform for Telenor Sweden

Telenor forecasts slower growth ahead after solid Q1 results

However, the Covid-19 pandemic started to weigh on the company's results late in the quarter, and the operator now expects slower growth in full-year results than its forecast issued in January.
