A vacancy for an Electro mechanisms Design and Studies Engineer mf has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Toulouse. You will join the Thermal Product Eurostar CI Mechanism department and will be in charge of the specification, design and predevelopment of electromechanisms. You will be responsible for ensuring that analyses of kinematic and dynamic aspects are performed, with CAE supports. Key aspects of this will include studying the costs and controlling the schedule. Within this context, your main tasks and responsibilities will include Developing space mechanisms integrated inside a project for which Toulouse is prime contractor, in any BU Telecom, Earth Observation Science. predevelopment activities, implementation of detailed design analyses, procurement and qualification coordinating manufacturing and assembly activities, Leading relying on various Airbus Defence and Space resources drawing office, analyses, integration, etc., Answering to ITTs analysing understanding requirements, reviewing candidate solutions architecture and technologies, issuing bid packages to possible suppliers, evaluatingTEB proposals concerning the technical, industrial and cost aspects coordinating the preparation of proposals with Airbus Defence and Space technical supports, cost aspects and commercial officers, Supporting the engineers in charge of equipment procurement within the Airbus Defence and Space BUs technical expertise, preparation and participation in reviews with the customers and the suppliers the preparation shall be substantiated by the analysis of the proposed solution provided in the data package, the performance summary and verification of compliance with regards to the specifications, identifying critical items, identifying possible solutions and implementing them in agreement with the customer and the supplier defining and controlling the developed work plan, Participating in the RD effort by means of a constant technological watch and activities proposal, internally funded, or funded by agencies, linked with specialised laboratories within Small Medium Companies e.g. motors and sensor suppliers, Participating in development of the CoC by participating with building common tools and having technical exchanges with colleagues from the UK and Germany promoting local activities by proposing presentations or papers to workshops, symposiums, etc. This role will involve business travel once a month in Europe and as such you must be able to travel accordingly. As the successful candidate, you will be able to demonstrate some of the following skills and experience Engineering or similar university 5year degree, ideally in Mechanical Engineering Initial experience in engineering activities related to electro mechanics, electro technics, robotics andor mechanisms, Ideally, knowledge of the following technologies and areas guiding ball bearing and lubrication, actuators electrical motors, piezoelectric and measurement technologies, together with electrical drivecommand aspects, High technical capabilities and motivation concerning the design of mechanisms, Ability to propose, analyse and implement innovative concepts, Ability to manage small functional teams and projects, Ability to multitask activities several small projects to deal with in parallel Advanced level of English and intermediate level of French. A vacancy for an AOCS Attitude and Orbit Control System GNC Guidance Navigation and Control Studies Engineer mf has arisen within Airbus Defence Space in Toulouse. The successful applicant will join the AOCSGNC Flight Dynamics Development department. As the AOCS GNC Studies Engineer, you will be in charge of AOCSGNC studies for satellite and space projects in the development phase. The projects cover all applicative domains Earth Observation e.g. Pleiades, Spot 67, CSO, Science missions e.g. Rosetta, Bepicolombo, or Geostationary telecommunication satellites e.g. SES Astra, Arabsat, etc.. You will conduct AOCSGNC activities for programmes in the development phase and will therefore be in charge of the following activities Designing AOCSGNC estimation and control laws and all associated onboard algorithms engineering requirements for the AOCS functional chain missions, environment, characteristics of spacecraft dynamics, avionics equipment performances, analysis and tradeoffs of control solutions, and preliminary performances of functional simulators, Defining and specifying representative modelling of sensors and actuators, covering functional, performance and dynamic aspects, to be used within the Functional Validation Bench simulator running AOCS flight software in closedloop, Specifying onboard algorithms to the software team and functionally validating the simulator, Tuning flight software functional parameters and establishing detailed functional budgets pointing, stability, consumption, etc., Validating functional performances through intensive validation campaigns on simulators. Defining and supporting the execution of reference validation cases used during later development stages, avionics test benches and AIT, Participating with the Launch and Early Operation phases as the AOCS specialist and providing functional expertise support for inorbit maintenance operations throughout the satellites lifetime. This role will involve some travel for business twice a year in Europe and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.
