Laboratory Technical Administration Engineer

We are looking for a Laboratory Technical Administration Engineer E3 to join our Ajilon Technology Aerospace team, working onsite at the European Space Agency in the Netherlands. This is a temporary assignment for approximately 6 months. Ajilon Technology Aerospace is a specialized Engineering consultancy with more than 30 years experience providing aerospace Engineers to our key partners in The Netherlands. Ajilon is a longstanding business partner of the European Space Agency ESA, with more than 110 employees recruited from across Europe currently supporting ESAs activities. Specific tasks to be performed Ensure the periodic calibration of laboratory instruments, mainly performed by third parties. Instruments shall be calibrated in groups in order to reduce the calibration efforts. An inventory of equipment shall be maintained. This list shall include information such as calibration frequency, last calibration performed and calibration history. The calibration of equipment shall be organized and administrated Annually for those that are not covered by separate equipment maintenance contract. According to maintenance contracts for those that are covered by separate maintenance contracts. Maintain and periodic check of inventory Track and check of loan equipment Act as a focal point for the TECQ asset management process to ensure compliance with the Agency requirements Coordinate and support the procurement, delivery and acceptance of planned infrastructure investment items and key laboratory equipment in coordination with purchase office in a timely manner, including quotation requests, organization of equipment demonstration and price negotiation. Purchases shall be harmonized and scheduled across TECQ sections considering to and facilitating changing priorities Coordinate, maintain and improve the laboratory quality management system. This includes Support to the ISO9001 and ISO17025 accreditation process in terms of preparing laboratory processes, and accreditation activity coordination including but not limited to coordinationfacilitation of audits by internal and external auditors. Coordination and maintenance of all related QMS documents for the laboratory. Coordination and facilitation of ISO17025 related management meetings. Performing internal audits against ISO9001 and ISO17025 requirements. Support LIMS Laboratory Information Management System implementationutilization Coordinate support the TECQ laboratory workflow management e.g. Share point, STARLIMS for the sections as required by the TECQ QMS. This includes support to the whole transversal process of lab operations including task tracking, analysis of the workflow, identification of bottlenecks and delays and proposal of resolutions. Sample handling Ensure full traceability of samples location at any given time from incoming inspection up to storage of samples. Analyze the laboratory manpower utilization for internal as well as third party activities. Organize disposal of equipment when necessary. Maintain of the MRU Main Responsible User and user lists including training records. Maintain facilityinstrument records, logbooks, software, data storage coordinate the cleanlinesscontamination housekeeping records of the laboratory. Prepare, maintain and update the TECQ laboratory infrastructure plan includes investment, running costs and engineering support tools in coordination with the relevant TECQ sections Order stocks of consumables and general laboratory supplies in SAP. Update procurement status in ACTIS, SAP and Sharepoint Request and supervise installation and maintenance works in the laboratory. Interface with facility management concerning site infrastructure matters Support testing activities, requiring TRR or equivalent, in an internal PA function and follow up and close out of Non Conformance Reports internal NCTS system Prepare for visits requests for laboratory tours or other communication events. Maintain laboratory PR brochure and promotional material in different media Act as focal point for safety training including maintenance of documentation, records and ensuring that newcomers will attend the training. Liaise with HSE officer as required Administration of ESA project component stocks in laboratory custody Support to line management in the preparation of periodic reports required at department or corporate level and for the Customer Advisory Board To successfully perform the above mentioned tasks, the following background experience is required Masters degree or equivalent in a relevant field 5 years or more experience is needed About ESAESTEC The European Space Agency ESA has sites in several European countries.
