They are equipped with dual polarized horn antennas in both the uplink and downlink bands. As members of the Galileo Flight Control Team reporting to Airbus GSOps Operations Manager OM, you will undertake technical tasks and duties to operate the Galileo spacecraft as required in order to maintain high availability of the signals broadcast by the Galileo satellites. In addition you will represent Airbus GSOp in meetings with the representatives of the GSA supporting deployment and operation of Galileo Control System, Mission System and Network elements at the GCCs and other sites. Orbital ATK, Intelsat to launch satellite fixing space tugs

(Telecompaper) Orbital ATK, a provider of aerospace and defense technologies, and Intelsat will together launch robotic space tugs aimed at extending the life of old satellites in space, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing industry sources. The "tugs" will move large telecommunication satellites that have depleted fuel reserves, keeping them flying while also bringing in revenue for a few extra years.
