We are seeking a Satellite Monitoring and Control Subsystem Application Software Engineer to join the Mission Operations System team within the Geostationary Orbit GEO Division. All candidates will have demonstrated experience of spacecraft andor ground segment procurement along with a goal oriented attitude and good level of communication skills enabling them to work well within a highly flexible integrated team. The successful candidate will have significant experience in the following areas Mission Control Subsystem specifications development and or procurement within a space system. In depth knowledge of SCOS 2000 based Monitoring and Control Subsystems. The ECSS Packet Utilization Standard PUS. TM TC Database design, implementation and testing. SCOS 2000 based onboard software function. AIV related activities test procedure generation, requirements verification and validation. Eclipse RCP RAP. Java, C and C. UNIX operating system usage. It would be a distinct advantage for the key person to have experience with some of the following ECSS Space Engineering Standards, in particular those related to Mission Control. IBM DOORS. Operations Preparation. Automation i.e. procedures activation and execution. Spacecraft Simulator based on SIMSAT. Ground segment monitoring control. SCOS 2000 based Monitoring and Control Subsystems Maintenance. GEO Spacecraft routine operations. CVS Version Control software. Configuration Control software e.g. Dimensions. Typical tasks and responsibilities will include Support to the maintenance of MTG Mission Operations Facility requirement specification in the area of Monitoring Control System and liaison with the operational users for the definition of the requirements baseline. Follow up the MTG MCS procurement to make sure that the delivery fits the intended purpose. Support the MTG ground segment team, the Mission Operations Facility manager and the ground segment manager. Interact with suppliers and partner organisations. Participation to the Reviews for the Monitoring and Control Subsystem and interfacing facilities. Preparation of technical notes and attendance at technical meetings. Maintenance i.e. mainly configuration and installation of the SCOS 2000 MCS demonstrator installed for familiarisation of the operations preparation team with the Mission Operations Facility MCS. Analysis, review and generation of any relevant MTG documentation. Maintenance and evolution of Mission Operations Facility Java Eclipse RCP RAP based tools established in the frame of Phase B. At a later stage in the programme, these additional tasks may be requested Participation test conduction and or witnessing to MTG Monitoring and Control Subsystem facilities testing and related activities on facility as well as on system level. Analysis of test results and test reports on facility as well as on system level in particular with respect to their suitability for requirement verification and validation. Installation of the MTG Monitoring and Control Subsystem at EUMETSAT, while fulfilling the configuration management requirements. Verification of correct facility installation. Monitor and, where applicable, steer the lifecycle for all related anomaly reports ARs nonconformance reports NCRs. Preparation and production of routine reports as necessary. All applicants must be well organised selfstarters who are fluent in English, both spoken and written. Compuware has updated its APM (application performance management) software to give administrators more insight into what might be slowing application performance, thanks to the inclusion of new metrics showing the operational health of the host infrastructure. The new technology, called PureStack, allows the dynaTrace Compuware APM software to "connect the infrastructure with the applications," said John Van Siclen, the general manager of Compuware's APM.
