As part of SES Technology, the ADCS Propulsion Engineering team is responsible for the attitude control, data handling and propulsion subsystems across the SES fleet of GEO and MEO satellites. Primary ResponsibilitiesKey Result Areas Provide attitude dynamics, control, propulsion, and data handling expertise to nominal and contingency operations of the satellite fleet, including 247 oncall and outofhours support Monitor the onorbit satellites, and develop engineering software tools to verify performance, identify any degradation trend, anticipate evolution scenarios, and take appropriate action Support new satellite construction programmes, orbit raising operations, and development of the ground products required for satellite operations. Work closely with external satellite manufacturers Advise internal and external customers on satellite engineering topics to meet quality of customer services KPIs Improve efficiency and effectiveness of satellite in orbit operations, including process, procedures, monitoring, and data review Advance the use of machine learning and analytics to further automate execution of operations, identify out of family performance and diagnose anomalies Who We Are Looking For More About You In order to achieve the outcomes described above, we believe you will have the following SkillsCompetencies Happy to work with remote team members, as well as in a collaborative environment Ability to set priorities and dependable about delivering within time frame Ability to react to contingencies and cope with highstress situations. Preferred Education Experience a combination of education and experience will be considered A Masters Degree, or higher, in Space Engineering, with a specialization which includes spacecraft dynamics and control system theory and application. 0 to 3 years applicable professional experience in satellite engineering andor operations are desired, but not mandatory. Recent Graduate applications welcome. Proficiency with MATLAB andor Python programming language is required. Additional courses or knowledge in Computer or Data Science are beneficial. A valid driver license and personal transport are essential for oncall support. We are looking for an ADCS Software Engineer with experience in software development for advanced satellite platforms. Position Summary The ADCS Software engineer will have responsibility for doing simulations and system implementation for customer projects, as well as customer training, satellite operations and development of new ADCS components. The successful candidate must be experienced in all aspects of software development including requirements definition, architecture development, design, implementation, integration, verification and validation. The position will be responsible for full product life cycle development from concept development to flight hardware and mission support. Interactions with external suppliers and customers will require the engineer to have excellent written and verbal communications skills.
