Skyline Corp. Reports 2Q Loss on Sales Gains

Manufactured home builder Skyline Corp. reported a net loss on an increase in sales for the Elkhart, Ind.-based company's second quarter, ended Nov. 30. Skyline noted that financials during the three-month period reflected the sale of its RV assets to EverGreen Recreational Vehicles LLC. In addition, the company said it established a relationship with a manufactured housing retailer that specializes in Internet-based marketing. Net sales from continuing operations of $49.7 million, an increase of 27% over net sales of $39.2 million from continuing operations in the year ago quarter.
Montvale-based AEP Industries posts loss for fiscal 2014

AEP Industries Inc., a maker of packing for consumer, industrial and agricultural businesses, reported losses in fiscal 2014 of $5.5 million, or $1.03 a share, compared with net income of $10.7 million, or $1.92, from the same period of a year ago. The company said fiscal 2013 results included a gain on purchase of the Transco business of $1 million.
