The Food Recovery Initiative of Joint Venture Silicon Valley is implementing Californias SB 1383 food recovery regulations across 16 Santa Clara County jurisdictions, building infrastructure and partnerships to redistribute surplus food and reduce waste. At WasteExpo, leaders from this initiative and other national programs will share insights on innovative models, technology, and policy efforts aimed at expanding food recovery networks and addressing food insecurity.
