A vacancy has arisen for an Antenna Product Assurance Manager with Astrium in Stevenage. The successful applicant will be responsible for leading Astriums Antenna Centre of Competences Antenna Product Assurance team of 5 engineers who are ensuring the implementation of contractual Quality Product Assurance requirements for antenna proposals and for the design, manufacture, test and delivery of satellite antennas and filters products. The role covers a wide field of technologies, including antenna microwave products in a space environment, mechanical design to withstand rocket launch and a demanding space environment, and spacequalified materials such as composite materials. The key responsibilities of the role are as follows Ensuring that Company and local Antenna CoC processes and procedures are in place and adhered to and for the safety of antenna products and tooling Management of PA team and all duties involved with management Work with the Antenna Centre of Competence programme managers and functional heads to set out the quality vision for the Antenna CoC, and to establish the quality standards to be achieved Custodian of PA system ISO 9001 re. antennas Act as a focal point for all Antenna CoC Quality matters, including REACH, WEEE, ISO 9100 and ISO9001 The role will be based Antenna Group Office in Stevenage with travel to Ottobrunn and Toulouse Antenna Centre of Competence sites and to a major subcontractor in Madrid and key UK suppliers. There will be possible travel to CanadaUSA The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and experience Educated to degree level or equivalent in a scientific or technical engineering related discipline Background in MODDefenceAerospace supplier quality Technical background ideally in electronics, physics, mechanical, materialscomposites Desirable Background in Space Product AssuranceQuality Membership of the IQA CQP status A knowledge of French, German andor Spanish TO APPLY click here
