Comprising dual channel bidirectional I2C digital isolator as well as 5 unidirectional channels of isolation, Model AS1705 enables real-time telemetry and control of Power Sourcing Equipment controllers used in PoE-capable switches and routers. Each isolation channel is rated to provide 2.5 kV of galvanic isolation. On bidirectional I2C channels, device's 3.4 MHz data rate provides needed bandwidth for system's processor to dynamically monitor and control power requirements for PSE controllers.
