We are looking to recruit for our client a CFRP Development Engineer This is a permanent position at our clients headquarters in Munich, Germany. In this Small to Medium Enterprise you will find an excellent and modern working environment with very challenging tasks and responsibilities. Your Tasks Include The postholder will substantially be involved in space flight hardware projects as well as in technology development projects in the area of CFRP structures for reflector antennas, lightweight structures, deployable structures, electronic housings, radiators and new materials. The main tasks of the post include the following Project development engineering Development of CFRP structure concepts for space applications Development of CFRP products for the terrestrial market CFRPdedicated design of parts, subassemblies, subsystems Consultancy of project team on most suitable CFRP materials see also below Discussion with CFRP manufacturer on materials and processes Inspection of CFRP parts and subassembly Subcontractor and supplier coordination for metallic parts manufacturing and coating Development of new CFRP related technology. Material tradeoffs Identification of various suitable materials Listing of pros and cons Identification of missing characteristics Contact of material providers Internet and literature research on relevant materials and its development status. Test campaigns Definition of sample tests Contact and selection of most suitable test institute Control progress of tests performed externally Conduction of tests in house Evaluation of test results If necessary, development of new test standards for specific material configurations. Material database Maintenance of internal material database Entry of new test data or data from conferences, literature, internet. Potential activities in case of knowhow Design and construction of ground support equipment Reflector mould definition and mould supplier control Support to subsystem test campaigns vibration, acoustic, thermal, thermoelastic, geometrical measurements, alignment, RF Control, inspection, testing of 3Dprinted hardware Material investigations for large deployable antennas. Your Profile Qualification The following are essential qualifications qualities of the successful candidate More than 2 years of experience in CFRPrelated jobs Strong technical background CFRP materials fibre materials, resin systems, processes Experience in CFRP related design, engineering and test campaigns Good knowledge in German and in English writing and speaking MS office SW tools minimum MS Word, MS Excel, Power Point, MS Project. Masters degree in mechanicalaerospace engineering or physics. Desirable The following are desirable Experience in other materials like metal, GFRP, nanomaterials Handson expertise in CFRP manufacturing Knowledge on subsystem test campaigns like vibration, thermal, measurements Experience in test engineering or lead and definition of subsystem tests CAD design and FEM analysis capabilities Knowledge in space flight hardware projects Knowledge about ESA ECSS standards.
