Cashmere prices have begun to recover in May in China, according to the latest available data. However, prices have not returned to the peak level reached a year earlier. The pandemic has depressed sales of luxury products after US additional tariffs had already slowed down the demand for cashmere. Our report offers an overall picture of short-term and long-term trends of the cashmere market, including China's exports of fiber and yarns, with volume, value, and unit prices.
