Kathryn Bigelow is the Oscar-winning director of The Hurt Locker and Zero Dark Thirty , and according to city records, she just closed on an apartment at 449 Washington Street in Tribeca . Bigelow dropped a little over $3 million on the apartment, a full-floor, two-bedroom loft with a balcony, high ceilings, and lots of crazy gadgets, like B&O surround sound, heated floors and towel bars in the bathrooms, an ethanol fireplace, and blackout shades.
