LIDAX seeks a Chief Mechanical Engineer with background in the development of high precision mechanisms. Heritage on Space projects shall be welcomed. Directly reporting to the Technical Director, the candidate will be in charge of stateoftheart designs in the main LIDAX fields of activity space optomechanical equipment. Main accountabilities Act as a reference in the field of mechanical Engineering. Perform systems Engineering in research programs. Define and improve internal methodologies. The Chief Mechanical Engineer will be in charge of Technical supervision of ongoing programs. Technical Guidance of less experienced engineers. Perform Systems Engineering Tasks on RD programs. Lead quotations from a technical point of view. Technical Management of Projects considering all other technical disciplines Simulation, Integration, Testing,... Mandatory education, skills and experience Aerospace or Mechanical Engineer. Master in Mechanical Engineer. Fluency in English is mandatory. Experience working in an English environment. 10 years in similar position. Deep knowledge of the space industry, highprecision space mechanisms, cryogenics, highly stable structures, optomechanics, mechanical and Thermal Design and Analysis, Systems Engineering, MBSE. Valuable skills and experience Skills in third language French or German shall be positively valued. International Experience in similar position. Knowledge on specific space sector.
