China Apparel Exports in Full 2018 (Country Report)

China's apparel exports have been far from plunging in the last year, partly due to a last-minute surge of shipments to the US market, ahead of a possible sharp increase of US tariffs this year. Exports to the European Union have been much more disappointing whereas sales to Japan and Korea were sharply dropping. Our statistical series provide a comprehensive picture of China's clothing exports in 2013-2018, including value changes per destination and per HS 4-digit categories. US and EU import data covering the last quarter of 2018 are also released with volume, value and unit value variations. In addition, the report includes a comprehensive review of US and EU imports from China per product category. All data are available for download.
