We are currently looking for a Communication Officer to support our customer in the Netherlands. Communication Officer Key Tasks and Responsibilities As part of the ESTEC Communications team, you will have the following responsibilities Manage and implement communication projects, partnerships, campaigns and events Manage the growth of media relations including social media in particular in Belgium, but also in Estonia and the Netherlands, for ESA in general, and specifically for ESA Space Technology activities, including the maintenance of a dedicated media and VIP management database Convento In coordination with ESA editors, work as writer of media releases, web and social media content Carry out regular qualitative research, report on communication activities and produce statistics on media coverage, including social media Support internal communication and events at ESTEC and at the ESA Centre in Redu, Belgium, and the Brussels Office, including management of the publishing process for the ESTEC Intranet and Announcement Screens. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience Masters degree in communication or equivalent qualification Several years experience in CommunicationsPublic Relations Interest in and good understanding of ESA Programmes and related activities would be an asset Good knowledge of social media and media databases Experience in logging and evaluating media coverage Excellent writing skills with a proven ability to convey complex ideas and technical concepts to nonspecialists Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite, project management tools and databases Experience using CMS or Photoshop andor InDesign would be an asset Excellent interpersonal and organization skills Fluency in French and English is mandatory knowledge of Dutch and Estonian language is an advantage.
