For our activities in ESOC, we are currently looking for a CopernicusSentinels Spacecraft Operations Engineer. Tasks and Responsibilities The SC Operations Engineering SOE positions typically comprise the following tasks services depending on the mission phase Study of Project Specific Characteristics and Ground Segment Documentation Preparation of Functional Requirements for the Project dedicated Flight Control Software Participation in the Analysis and Design of Satellite Operations Preparation of Functional Requirements for the Project dedicated Flight Control Ground Facilities Preparation of Flight Control and Contingency Procedures Mission Planning Support OnBoard Software Maintenance Support Production of Project Specific Software Validation and Satellite Interface Validation Test SVT Procedures and Participation in SVTs Participation in the System Operations Validation Test SOV, Training and Simulation Programmes Participation in Launch and Early Orbit Phase LEOP and Mission Critical Operations General Flight Control Support Spacecraft Performance Analysis. Requirements Spacecraft Systems and subsystems knowledge one or more of AOCS, Power and Thermal, Data Handling, TTC Experience in working in an operational environment Spacecraft Operations experience Experience with flight procedures life cycle, including preparation of high level plans Timelines, phase dependent plans Experience with organisation or execution of tests involving both ground and space segment Experience with anomaly investigations Ability to understand and accurately predict behaviour of complex systems Ability to work independently and with little supervision Wellorganised, able to prioritise and manage several activities in parallel Coordinate and interact with other service providers in operations and other fields Fluency in English, both in speech and writing Experience dealing with external international partners Experience with Packet Utilisation Standard Experience with the ESOC environment Experience with satellite control systems, in particular SCOS2000 Experience with low Earth orbit satellites Experience with operational simulators, especially the ones based on SimSat.
