We are currently looking for a Data Processing Engineer to support our customer in Germany. Data Processing Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities Our customer is a European organization providing weather and climaterelated satellite data, images and products for its users. You will have the following responsibilities Support the operation of payload data ground segment PDGS Maintenance in particular anomaly correction and software release process and necessary evolution Coordination of the data processing systems engineering Preparing and providing the support of the day to day operation and maintenance currently in the preparation phase Analysis, and testing of the facilities which also includes the handling of anomalies, design of upgrades and configuration changes for these facilities Integrating the individual SW Facilities into a data processing system, covering all aspects of system integration and testing Tasks will also contain the settingup and implementation of maintenance policies and procedures as well as coordination with external providers of maintenance services. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree in a relevant field Experience in software development lifecycles Earth Observation Payload Data Processing systems Software debugging and profiling tools e.g. GDB, DBX, IBM Purify, Valgrind Use of and application programming of relational database systems in particular ORACLE, INFORMIX, PostgreSQL and MySQL CCJava programming in a UNIXLinux based environment Scripting languages Python, Perl, TclTk, shell Fluency in English is mandatory. This job is located in Darmstadt.
