RHEA is currently recruiting a Data Processing Engineer to support Sentinel3 Operations at our clients premises in Darmstadt, Germany. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Preparing and providing the support of the day to day operations and maintenance currently in the launch preparation phase, the analysis and testing of the facilities including the handling of anomalies, and the design of upgrades and configuration changes for these facilities. Be the focal point for integrating the individual software components into the related data processing systems, covering all aspects of system integration and testing, including support to the endtoend testing of the complete production system. Settingup and implementation of maintenance policies and procedures as well as the coordination with external providers of maintenance services. This may also entail the participation in the specification and development of monitoring tools for Sentinel3. Providing oncall support as part of a team of maintenance engineers. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory At least 3 years experience in the maintenance and engineering of large scale software systems, specifically missioninstrument data processing related Knowledge of software development lifecycles and demonstrable experience Competence in software testing, unit test suite maintenance, automated testing, verification and validation Experience in software debugging and profiling Experience of source code control systems preferably Subversion. The following skills would be highly desirable Experience with DFEP processors as used by S3 and LO processmg within a framework based solution PDGS for S3 Knowledge of the ESA generic Instrument Processing Facility IPF interface specification Networking technologies and tools e.g. CCSDS protocols, Space Data Link protocols, FTP, PGM, TCPIP, UDP multicasting, and tools such as Wireshark CCJava programming language experience in a UNIXLinux based environment Knowledge of scripting languages e.g. Python, Perl Knowledge of web technologies, programming and markup languages e.g. Apache, CGI, JavaScript, XML and related technologies XPATH, SVG, etc..
